Added material
I have now added the entire file of slides used, as well as solns of all problem sheets.
I will still upload the notes on normal forms, after revising this slightly asap (as I noted this is needed).
Recommended literature (for more advanced material)
For those more interested in the differential geometric approach to qualitative theory, please see
the books by V.I. Arnold (uploaded in the dropbox).

class test Thursday 1:15-2 pm
The class test concerns the following material:
(1) chapters 1,2,3 of M2AA1notes16
(2) problem sheets 1,2,3
Questions will query your understanding, not your memory.
Model answers for most of the questions on the problem sheets are now provided.
Decoupling principle
I have uploaded Sadun's text Applied Linear Agebra: the decoupling principle, to the dropbox folder.

Welcome and introduction
This course concerns the qualitative theory of ordinary differential equations (ODE).
A guiding text for this course (although it will not be followed in detail) is
Luis Barreira and Claudia Valls. Ordinary Differential Equations: Qualitative Theory. Graduate Studies in Mathematics series vol 137. AMS. 2012.
Other useful texts:
Morris Hirsch, Stephen Smale, Robert Devaney. Differential Equations, Dynamical Systems, and an
Introduction to Chaos, Academic Press, 2003
